Blue Ridge Energy selects HomeServe to offer home protection plans to members

Blue Ridge Energy is excited to announce a new partnership with HomeServe to bring members optional home protection plans in the Alleghany, Ashe, Caldwell, and Watauga districts. Eligible members will be able to enroll in these plans in the coming months. 

Many homeowners are not aware that they are responsible for the cost of repairs to vital home systems, including electrical wiring, gas and sewer lines and water pipes. In some cases, repairs could cost hundreds of dollars and many homeowners are not prepared to handle the costs of unexpected breakdowns. 

Protection plans offered by HomeServe provide financial relief from the cost of covered repairs due to breakdowns caused by normal wear and tear.

• HomeServe serves over 4.7 million customers in North America and through 1,200 leading municipal and utility partners. HomeServe has been serving customers since 2003 and is accredited with the Better Business Bureau.
• Eligible Blue Ridge members in North Carolina will be able to sign up for optional service plans to cover home repairs.

• Protection plans provide members with access to a HomeServe 24/7, 365 repair hotline, as well as local, licensed, and insured technicians that will come to members’ homes to fix covered repairs.
